| girl's night out 2008 A special thank you to Joanne Bazarian of Perfect Balance Yoga and Jennifer Wycoff of Jennifer Wycoff Photography for hosting a fundraiser to benefit SOS. These two ladies held the fund raising event March 6, 2008. They invited their clients, other business', friends, and family to "Girls Night Out 2008" at Jennifer Wycoff Photography, 5091 N. Fresno Street (corner of Shaw & Fresno).
Janet Ames, Terry Elrod, Judy Pearson, and Mary Ann Rogozinski took turns selling raffle tickets and manning the SOS information booth where they were able to meet each guest and explain the SOS purpose. Charyce Haynes, her sister, Cheray, and Mary Lemelle also represented SOS. It was an opportunity to pamper yourself with great shopping, delicious food, coffees, wines, wonderful hot Chai tea and lots of other goodies, and support for SOS. The generosity displayed was overwhelming. At the end of the evening, Joanne and Jennifer sat down to count the raffle proceeds and were pleased to donate $1220 to SOS!! Thank you for your support! |

Quilt Raffle 2008 - Terry Elrod was traveling in Oregon with her family in the summer of 2006 and came across this pattern called "Pathways" for the quilt she and her mother, Marlene White, worked to complete for the next SOS raffle. This raffle will commemorate our 5th Anniversary and the winner will be drawn at our May 10, 2008 luncheon at Marie Calendar's, corner of Shaw and Cedar. The quilt is compiled of several coordinating breast cancer awareness prints and measures 120" x 80". Raffle tickets are being sold by members for $1 each! | See's Candy Sale2007 - The planning committee has decide to have our first See's Holiday Candy Drive. We hope each of you will pass the information along to family, friends and associates. We will begin taking pre-paid orders in mid-October and continue taking orders through November. Deliveries will be made the first week in December. If you would like to volunteer to work on this committee please contact Janet Ames. This is a great way to support SOS and have the gifts you want on hand during the holidays and it is so yummy too! Afghan Raffle 2007 - To the right, MaryJo donated her time, talent and this beautiful project to Sisterhood of Survivors for a fund raising raffle. The pictured breast cancer awareness afghan pattern with a gorgeous heart touching design by Cheri Jackson in honor of her family, those gone and those surviving. Dimensions 48x72. Raffle tickets are being sold by members for $1 each! The winning ticket will be drawn at the Fresno Regional Foundation on Monday, September 24, 2007.
