October Luncheon

posted Oct 19, 2016, 8:26 PM by Diana Dhuyvetter
We had a wonderful SOS luncheon Saturday. Our speaker was Dr. Dana Wasserman, a psychologist who is interested in improving the psychological well-being of cancer patients. Instead of lecturing, she asked us to inform her of our cancer journey experiences and what we wish had been included in the treatment. Dr. Wasserman can now take more facts and patient preferences back to panels, committees, etc. to improve doctor/patient communication before, during, and after treatment. Photo #1 shows Mary Ann Bellissima, SOS official luncheon greeter, presenting Dr. Wasserman with a "thank you" tote filled with items and information that will help Dr. Wasserman learn more about SOS and what we do. We all thank Dr. Wasserman for speaking with us. By Gail Green
